Confederate Memorial Day
activities planned by the Confederate Heritage Trust (CHT) in Charleston
are usually planned for the Saturday following to May 10 (official Confederate
Memorial Day in SC).
The SCOCR distributed the black mourning
armbands.
The SCLA provided refreshments. Special thanks
go to Shirley, and her daughters Joy and Gay.
George Naumann was MC. Sy Mabie, Chaplin of
SCV4, gave the invocation.
The Color Guard and Honor Guard were provided by the SCV4
and the 10thSC.
For his dedication in making the arrangements
for the Honor Guard at the Hunley Lab each weekend. Steve Burt, of the
10th SC Volunteers, received an award from the Palmetto Battalion (Col.
Clamp presenting) and a "hat's off" and "huzzah" from
the troops.
